Dispensary: Good Night (online dispensary)
Rating: 3.6 leaves
Good Night is an online dispensary which has provided me hidden gems in the past. The cost for bud is fairly low and I like to roll the dice and pick up a few random strains now and then to see if I can strike gold. The nuggets of American Pie are not gold, but they are not coal either. Good Night lists the strain as โmid gradeโ.
This bud is large and dense, but also compressed. Once upon a time it may have been beautiful. Its odor is a bit stale and tobacco like. Once ground a sweet and mild piney aroma is released, which is much more pleasant. The flavor is of slightly bitter menthol, not unpleasant but a bit boring and close to non-descript. When vaped, the clouds are large and dense, smoother than I expected them to be.
The high is very mixed. The initial effects are of a strong pressure behind the eyes and a relaxed tingling in the body. Users will feel an initial focus, calm, thoughtfulness which continues to build and become more intense until it reaches a peak with pangs of anxiety. This peak does not last long and then quickly dissipates to a point where the effects seemingly wear off completely. This is an only temporary lull, which is followed by a gentle, chill and pleasant relaxation of the body. Users will be able to end their high with a blissful and chill, non-sedentary relaxed feeling in their bodies. Unlike the quick and strange sativa beginning, the indica end lasts quite some time.
American Pie, or at least this incarnation of American Pie, is a hybrid with conflicting personalities: a bit of a rollercoaster of a sativa high to begin with, followed by one of the more pleasant indica body highs that I have experienced. I truly enjoyed the end of the high, but was confused by the beginning. This is an interesting strainโwhich experienced users may want to experiment with. Novice users should stay away.
