Pre-legalization Northern Lights was on of my go to strains. A dependable indica which would always chill me out, tastes solid and leave me satisfied. Eighty Six Cannabis sent me a package of ten strains and when I saw that Northern Lights was included I knew this had to be the first strain I tried from them.
Eighty Six’s Northern Lights is a beautiful bud, vibrant green, long and fluffy with little green hairs everywhere. Its fragrance is sweet, earthy and slightly piney while its flavor is dominated by a strong earthy flavor. The flavor is solid but is not “bright” or “sexy”.
Northern Lights’ strength is its high, a deep relaxing, chill, sleepy and medicinal effect. The bud does a great job relaxing tight and painful muscles and will gently lull its user to sleep. It is not necessarily a “fun” strain—but a therapeutic one and should be used as such.
I recommend Northern Lights for both novice and experienced users. It is important that novice users understand the medicinal benefits and applications of cannabis, and there is no better teacher for this than Northern Lights. At the same time, experienced users will keep Northern Lights in their cupboards specifically for therapeutic purposes.
