Small Axe is an interesting bud. It is beautiful, white frosted purple with green orange hairs. Fragrant, strong pine and lemon aromas with the faint hint of ammonia. Its flavor is good with classic herb, pine, mint and menthol tastes. While the flavors are not novel—they are stable, consistent from start to finish, and evident of a very well grown and cured bud. In fact if there is one thing that is evident from the nose, flavor and look of this bud—its that the Emerald Club knows how to grow well.
Small Axe’s high is euphoric, with all senses engaged, with a buzzing mind and a slowed down body. The engaged mind is a temporary thing which become more dreamy, flighty and will drift away into the ether. The body will continue to slow down and relax leaving minor pains a distant memory.
I recommend this bud to both novice and experienced consumers. The bud has classic flavors and aromas, it is also very clean, and is a great starting point for new consumers. The bud has good strength, so new consumers should approach the bud in moderation. Experienced consumers will probably come to the same conclusion I have, Emerald Club is an excellent grower who has maximized the potential of Small Axe.
