Grower: Epicure Thailand/Teera Group

Rating: 4.3

Moon Boots, a bud which conforms with the high and clean standards which Epicure/Teera consistently put out, is a very unique bud. The first impression is an odor of strong pepper which then gives ways to a savory herbal essence and is followed by a vanilla/rum/citrus/wood scent. The dry pull is pure tobacco and is reminiscent of the dry pull of a cigar. The flavor begins with a smooth butter vanilla and then settles into that same cigar flavor with hints of orange flan. To be fair to Epicure/Teera, these flavors and aromas are clean, pure, and uniqueโ€”but tobacco does not appeal to me.

The high is strong and after smoking about half a gram, I put my joint down, jotted down my notes and then proceeded to retire my heavy feeling body to the couch. While my body was challenging to use, my brain continued to think, process and contemplate the ever changing world we live in. In short, my body was stoned and my mind was stimulated until it also slipped off into oblivion.

Moon Boots is worthwhile for all experienced consumers. As mentioned above, the flavors are clean, pure and uniqueโ€”but the cigar flavor is one that missed the mark for me. The high is serious and would only be appropriate for experienced consumers. If you love cigarsโ€”this is the cultivar for you. In fact in my youth, I did have a penchant for cigars and consider this to be a superior cigar flavorโ€”but I personally do not want to be reminded of tobacco when I consume cannabis.
