This is the third time I am reviewing Greenhill’s Runtz x Layer Cake and it is the third unique experience I have had with this bud—an excellent example of how different phenos and growing conditions can change everything. Third time is a charm and I really enjoyed this iteration. In the last review I was a bit surprised to find dominant orange terps—but was happy to find a funky ripe fruit essence dominating this bud with some accenting and complementing orange notes. The flavors for the most part mirror the sexy and funky aroma but then concludes with a clean herbal and earthy taste.
Runtz x Layer cake is balanced starting off with a profound heady high but quickly moving to relax the body and neutralize muscle pain—relaxed enough to counter any creative motivation. The bud is uplifting and while it is not overwhelming or debilitating, it is best to chill out and take it easy with this one.
I recommend Runtz x Layer Cake to all consumers. The flavors and aromas have an enjoyable sexiness to them and the high is perfect letting things go without fully getting stoned (though perhaps novice consumers could find themselves in that state—so moderation is the key).
