This is the third time I am reviewing Canis’s Da Funk—there is not much more I have to say to my previous reviews other than to point out that I think it has gotten better. The bud (a gift from Canis celebrating the birth of my most recent child) was beautiful, as is to be expected, deep dark greens and rusty oranges all perfectly manicured into perfect nuggets. The aroma is spice, menthol and soap. Very loud—very evident—filling every crevice of my apartment. The flavor, and this is something I always come back to with Canis’s Da Funk, is Dr Pepper, with a great sweet and effervescent concentration of spices, dark fermented ripe fruit and an herbal medicine quality which develops into a minty finish.
The effects are strong moving from the head quickly to the body, relaxing, chilling, slowing everything down but super happy, and euphoric. This consumer also had a massive case of the munchies after smoking down this bud. My one complaint is that a one gram joint was not enough—I should have rolled a bigger one.
I highly recommend Canis’s Da Funk universally. This bud should be considered a classic of the Thai market—one which everyone should experience to see, smell, taste and feel some of the best that we can produce. We at HighThailand joked a bit about a Canis and Lisa super soft power collaboration representing some of the best talent we have to offer the world. Da Funk would stand well on its own (but would look pretty good in Lisa’s hands).
