Rach Roller’s Mango Mad is a dense classically green bud. As its name suggests, it has a very tropical aroma of sour fruit which starts with pineapple and then develops into sour sweet mango, with a bit of pepper and some spice. The flavor does capture all of the aroma notes, but not in the same intensity. The leading flavor seems to be pepper and wood with that tropical fruit more of a secondary story, which was surprising as even the dry pull is strong in tropical fruit.
The high knocked me out. I smoked half a J and fell into a sublime nap on my balcony—only to wake up repeat and go back to sleep. The bud was so strong that I slept through all my new baby girl’s overnight feeding times—but don’t fret Mrs. Mendel stepped in like a champ. I’ll have to make it up to her.
I recommend Mango Mad to those consumers looking for a strong bud which will knock them out for the night (or day). The aroma is super tropical, sour and fruity, and I enjoyed it—but it would have been better had the flavor come through with a stronger emphasis on the fruit.
