Grower: Fire Farms
Rating: 4.4
Lemon Cherry Sherbet was just reviewed last December—but there have been some subtle changes to Firefarm’s latest harvest of this bud. The bud is still large plump, colorful, and dense. This latest iteration has strong pungent lemon aromas with cherry taking a back seat, but still very evident, and an added earthy nuttiness and a lemon pine stickiness which remains on the fingers. The bud is strong enough to illicit complaints from Mrs. Mendel who claims she could smell the bud outside our apartment in the elevator. The flavor starts off very similar to a New York lemon cherry Italian ice (the origin of so many Italian foods) with an herbal mintiness which progressively gets stronger while the lemon cherry flavor fades.
Lemon Cherry Sherbet left me nicely toasted, with a mind and body which were light and flighty. Relaxed chill, uplifted, with a brain which was processing at a slow level but consistently worked throughout the high. A good way to slow everything down, leave the body in a mode of pleasure, but not switch off completely.
I still highly recommend Lemon Cherry Sherbet. The aromas are pungent and will please lemon loving consumers; the flavors start delicious and then settle into a solid herbiness which lasts through the end of a joint. The toasty high will satisfy experienced consumers and could be a good introduction experience (with moderate consumption) for new consumers.
