Dispensary: Fat Buds

Towards the end of 2022 Fat Buds rolled up a couple joints, Mango Skunk and AK48, to smoke during our Pizza with Mendel youtube interview. We smoked the Mango Skunk joints—but we never got to smoking the AK48. I took that AK48 with me to Kanchanaburi where I had the blissful experience of smoking that joint on the River Kwai (Khwae Noi).
A dry pull of the joint revealed a peppery and a mildly fruity “mouth smell”. Once lit the same taste became earthier. All in all the taste and aroma are pleasant and mild, gentle and smooth.
The immediate effects, like the taste, are quite gentle with a light buzzy headiness. Those effects progressively get stronger with the body relaxing indicating an indica turn around the corner. But the effects never take that full indica turn, instead while the body does become more relaxed, the mind remains alert, creative, thoughtful, content, and happy. A fine afternoon bud.
AK48 is a solid sativa hybrid. It is fairly mild and gentle and probably best for novice and newer cannabis users. Experienced users will nonetheless enjoy this bud early in the day, perhaps as an appetizer for a heavier and more developed strain later in the evening.
