Cheese and its progeny, like Blue Cheese, are not cultivars I have much experience with. I have had Blue Cheese and different relatives of Cheese before—but each has left me underwhelmed and perplexed by the flavors and its following. But Medicana’s Blue Cheese has opened a completely new side and flavor profile to me. The bud, and immense dense mass of pale green, yellow and orange, has a tantalizing odor of sweet cream cheese with fruit tones. When broken up the bud emits a good herbal funk that beckons the nose to continue sniffing. A dry pull reveals pepper. That pepper remains to commence the flavor once combusted followed by the same sweet cream cheese flavor coupled with apples. As the bud continues to combust the funk and herbs come out—but that sweetness remains until the end.
The high is fantastic. Super relaxed, happy, entertained, giggly. I know this bud is indica leaning, but I found myself focused, engaged, with heightened senses, profound thoughts, and an eagerness to work and create. Mrs. Mendel had to put up with my nonstop chattiness—until I passed out watching a youtube video on the health benefits of natto (納豆).
I love Medicana’s Blue Cheese and am grateful for this introduction to quality cheese. The bud has delicious, deep flavors and odors which should be experienced by all consumers. The high is strong and engaging until it isn’t. Experienced consumers will be delighted with the bud. Novice users should try no more than 1-2 puffs—but will benefit from learning about this wonderful bud.
