After trying Dr. Green’s Citron CBD I was keen to try their THC strains. For that first THC strain I opted for Blueberry Cookies, the strongest and most expensive strain available at the dispensary.
This bud is consistent with the super high quality of the Citron CBD previously reviewed. The bud itself is dense, large and not compressed. Sticky to the touch and very fragrant with a berry and piney sweet fragrance. Grinding the flower releases these odors even further.
When vaping the flower at the low temperature of 175 C the surprising intense mint taste dominates like a very strong breath mint. Your dedicated correspondent had in fact ingested a large amount of garlic earlier in the day at a particular favorite Korean diner. The effect of these initial minty hits negated the adverse affects of the garlic. At 185 C and then 195 C the clouds of vape get thicker and the taste of berries, and then blue berry, become stronger and stronger as the mint fades away. The taste is delicious, sweet and unique.
Blueberry Cookies is an indica leaning hybrid. The immediate physical effects are a strong pressure on the head and eyes, and a relaxed but heavy feeling in the body. Because these strong effects hit so quickly it is natural to expect a deeper descent into a lethargic and stoned state. However, the effects temper a bit and while this is strain which will get the user stoned, the user can still operate and go about an evening at home. The strain also will create a chill/harmonious/non-confrontational feeling, along with a happy and euphoric playfulness.
As the evening moves on, the user becomes more and more relaxed, the effects slowly become heavier, and the user may wind up blissfully asleep in a random but soft and comfortable corner or on a couch.
Blueberry Cookies is a stay at home evening indica hybrid. It is perfect for chilling and drifting off to sleep. While it does not immediately shut the user down, it nonetheless is not a strain for endless socializing and creativity. It is perfect for a user looking to stay at home, take in intense fragrances and tastes, and chill with familiar loved ones before dozing off in front of the TV.
