I have had some mixed experiences with Blueberry derived genetics. On the one hand, Blue Dream is one of my favorites—and I still am in awe of the effects every time I partake. On the other hand, Blue Gelato is too much of a trip for me—lurching all over the place like the Coney Island Cyclone. I came to Blueberry Ghost with a bit of trepidation. Mixing Blueberry genetics and ghosts? That’s pretty scary!
But, Blueberry Ghost is a pretty cool ghost . . . one you would welcome into your home with open arms, to the extent you can hug a ghost. The bud itself is fluffy, Kermit the Frog green, dusty—a very pretty strain. The fragrance is rich, fruity, citrussy and when broken apart the familiar blueberry fragrance emerges. I smoked the bud in a hemp wrapped blunt, and the flavor was absolutely delicious. Thick, beautiful, smooth, delicious clouds of smoke coated my mouth, throat, and lungs with a sweet citrussy and berry flavor. I finished the blunt and immediately wanted more!
The effects do not disappoint. Alert, focused, super satisfied, content, and euphoric. All my senses were awoken, and I enjoyed a rare cool and fresh Bangkok evening. While listed as an indica leaning hybrid, I never did feel a strong indica sensation. Pleasant relaxed, chill, and tingling sensations did affect my body, but I was nonetheless on top of my game, energetic and ready to take on the world.
Blueberry Ghost is a fun and happy strain which I would recommend to both novice and experienced users. Both types of users will love the fragrances and flavors. Experienced users will enjoy the sativa euphoria and alertness and perhaps will have more of an indica effect than I had? Novice users will appreciate that Blueberry Ghost is a strain with a lot of character which is not overwhelming or too strong, but fairly controllable and enjoyable.
