I love reviewing flowers. Discovering new growers is as exciting as discovering new cultivars. But after a time of adventuring in the new, falling back into something known and comfortable can be a welcome landing spot. Greenhill Organic’s Bread and Butter was a bit of a trip through two worlds: on the one hand I had the comfort of sampling one of my favorite farms while on the other hand I tried a new cultivar—albeit one with characteristics that speak directly to me. To start off, the aroma is beautifully herbal, but an herbal which is sweet with a seemingly spiced citrus syrup. This bud reminds me more of an orange and peppered flan than bread and butter. But that butter comes out strongly as the initial flavor when combusting the bud—followed by a sweet burnt brown sugar—but with an absence of that citrus in the aroma. Amazing flavors and aromas.
The high is super uplifting and euphoric resulting in lots of giggling, dancing, and eager but relaxed socialization. This is a feel good bud for sure and will either make you a delight to others around you in a similar state of mind—or a bit annoying. An excellent holiday bud.
I highly recommend Bread and Butter to all consumers. The flavors, aromas, and high are all excellent—clean, fun, positive without any negatives. I normally stress that novice consumers should come to their buds in moderation and err on the side of caution. This may be one bud where, in the right circumstances and in safe and comfortable surroundings, novice consumers can be a bit braver and experiment more with this bud with the knowledge that this bud will treat them right.
