Polaris+ presented their Calypso Haze to me while HighThailand was down in Phuket. The buds are springy and dense, verdant with multiple green hues, and a rich white dusting. They have a very “Thai” aroma of loud sour young mango. The flavor is musky and fruity—not as loud, not as sour as the aroma, and more adult.
The high is a great loner’s high. The bud is chill and relaxing with moderate but appreciated euphoria which is ideal for just being alone with one’s thoughts. I found it annoying to be with others and wanted to retreat to another place when confronted with company. This is not (at least for me) a social bud—but I am someone who enjoys time alone.
I highly recommend Calypso Haze to those coming to Thailand on holiday—especially to a beach destination. The aroma and flavor (a bit less on the flavor) capture a unique Thai essence which I think complements a trip. The high—at least for me—was more introspective and anti-social. I suppose this may not be conducive to a family or friends holiday—but it would suit lone travelers.
