I am so happy that skunk is back. It left for a while—chased away by diabetes leaning candy cultivars—but it snuck back in and is stinking up the place good. And Devil Driver releases that skunk right out the bag with a good dank herbal and pine pungency and added spice and pepper. The essence carries a mild sweetness and passing fruitiness—a complementing note on this very old school aroma. The flavor is purely herbal and woodsy with an existing sweetness which exists only to temper what would otherwise be a potentially bitter tasting bud. But the bud’s flavor is true and delicious—at least for this Gen X toker.
The high is super energetic, awake and focused. Do not smoke this bud close to bed time—if you do that bed time will be delayed by a number of hours. Indeed, I consumed this bud late at night and spent the rest of that night rambling around, reading, watching TV, writing, contemplating, eating, and generally bouncing around. It is an excellent bud to create with—it is not a go to bud for chilling out and relaxing or tuning out the world.
I highly recommend Devil Driver to all consumers. I love the flavors and the essence which are gloriously old school. The high is extremely utilitarian and will be an excellent tool for those who need to create and get some work done. Novice consumers, slowly experiment with this one—ideally its best to control that energy before it controls you.
