Durban Poison is a classic sativa. A dependable bud to get you through a day. A bud which I am familiar with exclusively in outdoor form and have never shied away from. Medicana’s Durban Poison is much prettier than what I am used to. The buds look like small asteroids of various shades of green, yellow, and orange ready to fly through space. Sweet herby and earthy odors—with hints of sourness come out when ground. Herby and earthy grain flavors come out when smoked and are joined by a spiciness and slight semi-sweet floral hint which falls well short of candy. Durban Poison’s high is clear headed, alert, uplifting, elated and productive. This is a working person’s bud—one to push through the day and accomplish tasks.
Medicana Lab is deservedly known for their high quality and excellent buds, and Durban Poison is no exception. I have smoked a bit of Durban Poison in my past and I can honestly say that is the best I have had of that strain. In my previous experiences I have found that Durban Poison’s high was excellent, its taste was decent, and odor was mild to unremarkable. With Medicana’s buds the smell is good, and the taste and high excellent. Value still lies with a solid outdoor grown plant—but there is no question that Medican’s Durban Poison is the best I have had.
Durban Poison is appropriate for both experienced and novice users. Novice users should experience this bud, in moderation, to understand the effects of a pure sativa. Experienced users will keep this bud in their tool belt, ready to pull out for that hard day of work.
