I was fairly annoyed to receive a batch of samples form High Hello in a flattened envelope. In fact I was surprised to open a flat envelope to find flowers inside. Flowers should be stored and transported with care. Having said that—the odor of the Ethos Apex R1 tantalized me as I secured it in a more appropriate storage apparatus. Skunky, pungent, gassy with high tones of sour citrus—these aromas stayed on my mind and pulled me in for an evening toke. The flavors where classic and solid: earthy and herby with menthol and minty accents, finishing with a floral and orange taste. Very pleasant.
The high is mild and balanced—it relaxes but is far from sedating, it stimulates enough to engage in conversation, giggle and laugh and is a nice social bud. I smoked this bud with my wife and neighbors. They loved the aroma, flavor and effects and were chilling and quietly giggling to themselves. I enjoyed the bud but my tolerance probably demanded a bit more to get to their point.
Ethos Apex R1 from High Hello is a fine bud for novices. It has a great flavor and aroma and gentle and enjoyable high which will not overwhelm the user. Experienced users will appreciate this bud which they can use at any time during the day to relax and take a load off without turning into a zombie.
