Glitter Bomb has a reputation as being a cultivar which has lots of shine and beauty but with performance which struggles to match looks. Mari Wonka’s bud is indeed beautiful, a multi-hued dense bulbous mass of a flower which the camera loves. But the aroma and flavors are not to be ignored. The bud has a fantastic spicey essence which dominates and fills the nostrils before the sweet notes of ripe fruit and smooth vanilla followed by savory herbs become evident. The flavor reflects the essence with strong but sweet spices which then develop into a more medicinal herbal flavor. Aromas and flavors which are more interesting than popular candy cultivars.
The high is straight up relaxed, chill, laid back, with muscles loosening and stress melting away. I did feel that I could choose my own destiny with this bud: either (i) give in to the relaxation and lock myself into my couch; or (ii) harness bits of energy and creativity that were bouncing around somewhere in my head. I chose the couch.
I highly recommend Mari Wonka’s Glitter Bomb to those consumers looking for a strong, but not necessarily overwhelming, relaxing bud. The flavors and aromas are super interesting—and enjoyable. But, I do have to admit, its aesthetic beauty reigns supreme over its other characteristics.
