These Gogurtz buds have incredible “bag appeal”. They are frosty, purple, springy with and super aromatic. The nose reveals the bud’s Runtz lineage with fumes of sweet red berry candy but also with more subtle notes of menthol, citrus and perhaps a bit of pepper. The flavor will appeal to candy lovers coming through strong with a taste akin to the vanilla strawberry diabetes sweet jelly filling in Japanese marshmallows, and then developing with an herbal and earthy flavor, with mint and anise and a peppery finish. I smoked this bud all the way to the end with the flavor improving with almost every puff.
Gogurtz’s high is chill but not overwhelming or debilitating. The body goes into a full relaxed mode with muscles and pain melting away. But the head remains awake, happy without the distractions of the world and life.
I highly recommend Gogurtz to all consumers. It is very much a modern candy cultivar, and that may annoy the more old school amongst us, but the development of the flavor from candy to herbal, earthy and spice is an experience I enjoyed—especially the balance away from that candy beginning. The high is super chill and could be appropriate for novice consumers, but in moderation. I would definitely return to this bud.
