Grower: Canis Major
Rating: 4.6
There is no hiding from chores. Especially when your wife is the general commanding the work. But a strategically smoked sativa (in this case a hybrid) can transform the banality of the mindless tasks into something more enjoyable. On this evening of predictably humdrum housework, Canis Major’s Greater Dog Haze came to the rescue. Great Dog Haze has a high which relieves stress, removes anxiety, creates a positive and happy mindset, and engages the user with any activity. The high is focused—but remains fun with a giddy energy and tingling sensation running throughout the body. This is both a utilitarian and feel-good strain in one bud.
Like all of Canis’s buds, Greater Dog Haze is art in itself: long plump springy buds, with a multi green shaded base and orange colored hairs everywhere. The scent is unique and pungent, super sour with elements of gas, pine, citrus and a tropical hint of banana at the very end. When ground the sourness and forest pine elements really come through. The flavor is equally profound with a fruity and lavender floral taste mixing with earthy, musky, and nutty notes. A truly delicious bud.
It is rare that I can recommend such a high quality bud to both novice and experienced users, but Greater Dog Haze is exactly that rare bud. The bud is high spirited, energetic and uplifting and is strong enough to make the user reflective, but has no drawbacks. The flavors and aromas are excellent and will be enjoyed by anyone with an affinity for sour buds. Novice users, as usual, should come to this bud in moderation, but it is nonetheless highly recommended for all.
