Heavy Grapefruit is a fitting name. The bud has a strong nose, bright, fruity, sweet and sour, with a strong and enticing sour citrus and pineapple emerging in a dry pull. The aroma pulled me in and caught my interest. The bud itself is plump and green, manicured and cured, a bit dryer than I’m used to but still acceptable. The flavor starts off delicious, a tropical fruit and citrus cup, but then the flavor wanes, becomes a bit more bitter and loses the bright initial flavor.
The bud’s high is chill and relaxed, strong, moving quickly through the mind and body, debilitating the body and making it a challenge to stay awake. Indeed, I succumbed to the bud quickly and was woken by the sounds of my own snores on my sofa, thirsty and hungry. Heavy Grapefruit is perfect for those who require pain relief and assistance falling asleep. It is strong—not appropriate for novices—and only appropriate for those who have the luxury of sleeping in the next morning (folks without kids and responsibilities).
