Honey Tree, for me, was one of the most exciting cultivars of 2023—one which Tropical Thunder really made shine. I was very happy to get an abundant sample of it again, and can confirm that the bud is still excellent and enjoyable. The odor is sweet, with a waxy honey lemon citrussy dominant essence and a pine menthol underlaying note. This essence is beautifully emulated in the flavor with added soapy, herbal and floral notes in the end.
Honey Tree’s high is quite strong—I do note that I smoked an unusually large amount of this bud. The effects are one where the body is relaxed, the brain is slowed, but remains active and engaged in a social and processing manner all the while in a blissful state. That engagement does wane and the mind eventually meets the body in deep sleep.
Nothing can compare to the first time—and while the shock of pleasure I experienced when I initially sampled the bud last year is a long gone and fleeting experience—this is still a unique bud with flavors, aromas and high which should be savored. I highly recommend Honey Tree to all consumers, novice users should of course use the bud in moderation.
