Dispensary: MOB (Million Option Buds) Farms

I had a hankering for MOB’s style of buds but I also had a big night of filming for UpperCut ahead of me—so I grabbed for what I thought would be a more energetic bud. MOB’s Ipanema, a mostly green with peaking purples dense bud with aggressive orange hairs, has natural honeydew citrus notes, with a good subtle but brewing funk, and a great stickiness which leaves it all behind on your fingers. I keep writing that I am done with orange dominant buds—but this one is delicious with an orange vanilla creamsicle flavor which completely coats the mouth and stays consistent from start to finish.
Ipanema was supposed to energize me. It did not—in fact, it may have delayed filming by about 2 hours or so. The high is super relaxed, chill, social, dreamy. Instead of hitting Chinatown for some new year footage—the HighThailand crew just sat around Never Not High—chit chatting with Tops—speaking with the many customers coming in and out—and repeating over and over again “we need to go film”. We eventually got out and filmed the Chinatown new year celebrations—but we did while floating through a dream. Our key aim was to film the dragon dance—but somehow we almost missed the sound of crashing cymbals, fireworks and the bright neon lit dragon flying up and down 40 meters in front of us.
Ipanema is strong, heavy, and dreamy. I highly recommend it for experienced consumers—who will no doubt enjoy floating through the new reality it brings. But it may be too strong and overwhelming for novice consumers. The bud is delicious, fragrant and has a great relaxed high—definitely something novice consumers should aspire to.
