Tropical Thunder is a grower that all Thai cannabis lovers should be familiar with. Their buds are always superior and they choose cultivars which correspond with market trends but still are unique and different enough to command attention. Their LA Banana Cake fits the bill. Their buds are incredible small sticky and sparkly bright masses with an aroma of yeast and sweet and sour tropical fruit. Once ground a strong sour citrus odor comes through. The flavor is a somewhat subdued version of the aroma—still good and enjoyable but not as strong and clear as the essence—with a spiced finish.
The high is quite excellent with an initial euphoric headiness which takes the brain down profound avenues of thought, positive outlooks, and a strong feeling of flightiness. The initial energy slows progressively until the mind and body are completely chilled out—at rest and at peace with the world—ready to say goodnight to the day and universe.
I highly recommend LA Banana Cake to experienced consumers. The aromas and high are excellent and the flavor is pretty good. The bud is quite strong—and the swing from engagement to relaxation may take novice users through a bit of anxiety. This is not to say that novice users should stay away from the bud—but they should approach the bud in moderation and understand what is happening.
