I completely underestimated this bud. Greenhill Organic’s London Marker looks pretty and classic, green and healthy. The aroma is nice, nothing special, some gas, earthy sweet, with surprising though not necessarily thrilling woody and earthy notes. The aroma represents elements that I would never pass on—but they aren’t necessarily elements that I am drawn to. I thus lit up my joint not expecting much, but I sure got it. London Marker is an amazing, exciting and enjoyable trip of developing flavors. The bud begins with a petrol and rubber flavor with slight sweet notes, those sweet notes continue to develop with woody, earthy and then herbal and strong mint notes. Full flavors which seem to come out of nowhere and continue changing, all the while remaining delicious, without every getting boring and ending better than it begins.
London Marker feels like a hybrid, but definitely is weighted towards the dreamy and laid back and away from energizing. This consumer felt content, chill, relaxed, sleepy, and then asleep. A feel good but pretty lazy bud.
I highly recommend this bud to all experienced consumers. The aroma is fine, but not special. The flavor however is so much fun to experience—with beautiful clean old school tastes that I wouldn’t expect in a Permanent Marker offspring. The bud would be an excellent education for novice consumers—but the strength should not be ignored, and novice consumers should be aware and prepared for it.
