Canis told me to smoke Monkey Berries the first thing when I wake up. The first thing I do when I wake up is yoga followed by changing, feeding and taking my baby for a long walk. The opportunity to smoke Monkey Berries first thing in the morning is hard to come about. However, the heavens smiled down on me this late February Saturday when my baby and his mother went to a far off -buri for a religious occasion of some sort. Fortune favors the bold—and when those two headed upcountry, I boldly lit a bowl of that beautiful bud.
Monkey Berries is a springy dense sticky pale green bud covered in a fuzz of little hairs. The odor is sour, sweet, citrussy with some good old fashioned pungency. The taste is delicious and flavorful, with more of a sweet fruity flavor than sour citrus, but reminiscent of the sweet version of a normally sour fruit—like a very sweet plum.
The effects are Monkey Berries’s strongest quality. The initial effects are heady and buzzy with pressure just above the ears. That pressure quickly dissipates—moving into a very fun, elated, energetic and engaged (and hungry) high. Monkey Berries is a very awake and good feeling bud—it is perfect for tackling the day with a positive vibe, with optimism and friendliness. True to Canis’s recommendation—it is perfect for a wake, elate and bake.
Monkey Berries is appropriate for both novice and experienced users. Experienced users will strategically use the bud as a means to productively and happily go about their day. Novice users will enjoy the feel good aspects of the bud and can hopefully learn from a fairly sophisticated bud which is not hard to approach.
