I really loved Motor Breath when I first tried it from Medicana late in 2023. It hit all the old school notes I tend to gravitate to. So, I was quite excited to sample this bud once more. In summary, I’d have to say that the bud is same same but different. Aesthetically the buds look quite different. The 2025 buds are more compact (though by no means compressed) and tightly manicured than the 2023 buds which were grander, more bulbous, springier with darker greens and bit more of a natural wildness to them. The 2023 buds where aromatic and pungent right out of the packaging, whereas the 2025 buds needed a bit of pinching and prodding to draw their scent out. But once the buds are manipulated, their initial nutty earthy aroma develops with beautiful spicy, citrusy and gassy aromas. The flavor is delicious with strong and musky flavors of petrol, earthy, spice and a strong herbal finish.
The high immediately takes the edge and stress off, leaving the consumer with a relaxed body but a contemplative and clear mind. The body is fully at rest but the mind remains very active in profound thought—until it isn’t. This bud is a creeper, and that active brain progressively slows down until it matches the body in a deep state of sleep.
I still love Motor Breath. When I initially reviewed it in 2023 and excitedly shared it within HighThailand, I was told “it smells and tastes like weed.” I suppose this is why I love it. It smells, tastes and feels like really good classic weed. I wish that Medicana retained the bud’s initial sexiness—but the end result is still awesome—old school aromas and flavors and a profound and day ending high.
