Grower: Fire Farms
Rating: 4.6
Fire Farms introduced me to (high quality) Permanent Marker—a bud which leans heavily on its Jealousy lineage and one which I truly enjoy when done right. I have tried many iterations and crosses of Permanent Marker with various degrees of enjoyment—but it is fitting that perhaps my favorite to date is Permanent Cherries, once more grown by the en fuego Fire Farms. This bud comes out of its packaging with fumes carrying the gassy sweet aroma of spiced dark berries along with a nutty earthiness—opening up once ground with rubber and concentrated fruit candy. A dry pull reveals a rubber gas “mouth smell”. The flavor is absolutely delicious from first puff to last, starting with heavy dark ripe fruit, moving to gas, sweet spice, syrupy cherry slushy, and ending with a delicate floral lavender finish. A flavor experience not to be missed.
The high begins midway through (an immense) joint, with the body fully relaxing, pain melting away, mood elevating, feet and legs getting heavy and an understanding that the consumer is fully attached to the ground and with the earth. The bud neutralizes everything about the world. I thought that my body was out but my mind intact—but I was knocked out quickly while watching the Olympics. For me, this is the right way to relax and sedate at the end of the day.
I highly recommend Permanent Cherries to all consumers. This bud is a full on high quality experience with excellent aromas, flavors and high. The high is strong—but as long as novice consumers arrange to smoke close to a bed—everything should be ok (novice consumers should come to this bud in moderation). Permanent Cherries is one of the best variations of Permanent Marker I have come across—and perhaps the best “cherry” cultivar I have come across.
