Grower: Kantry
Rating: 4.5
I try to be fair to all the growers and follow a set order and queue. Yesterday I sampled Kantry’s Slow’n Sweet and I was ready to move on to another deserving grower—but Mrs. Mendel demanded Kantry’s Planet of the Grapes. I offered reasonable alternatives—but the nose knows—in this case Mrs. Mendel’s nose knew—and I dutifully (and somewhat fearfully) obeyed and rolled the corresponding joint. There is good reason why Mrs. Mendel so forcefully demanded Planet of the Grape—it is super gassy, super sweet, super (artificial candy) fruity with notes ranging from grape soda to berry gummies, with a touch of cream. The gas and sweetness hit the consumer in the face after a grind—a grind which is a bit more challenging than usual due to the incredible dense stickiness of the bud. The immediate flavor after combustion is delicious—full of chewy grape candy flavors which will excite the consumer and make a joint harder to share. The immediate burst of flavor remains for the first half of the joint, but then tapers, get a bit more dull and loses some its shine, but is still good.
Kantry’s bud in subsequent nights once again delivered a superior high. In fact the two best highs I have had over the last month or so are in back to back Kantry buds. In this case an ultra euphoric, full relaxed body and muscles with pain melting away. This is a fun bud which made this consumer happy, silly, giggly, and delighted with my state in the world. Completely stoned for sure but in a very positive way. A word of warning, expect incredible munchies with this bud, Mrs. Mendel and I polished off the better part of a bag of durian chips and a bar of dark chocolate with almonds.
Planet of the Grapes is highly recommended for experienced consumers—especially those who love chemically fruity flavors. The high is strong, too strong for novice consumers, but oh so excellent for those with a bit of experience under their belt.
