Radikal Mandarin is the second sample I’ve tried from Boxer, and there is no doubt that these guys know how to grow. They also have an interesting selection of genetics. Radikal Mandarin is very much a modern candy like bud. The aromas are super fruity, with essence of pineapple, red Hawaiian punch, berries, and a strong orange citrus. The flavor matches the aroma perfectly with sweet fruity tastes of berries, candy grapes and the ever present orange but concludes with a minty herbal finish. For those familiar with “Nerds”, this bud tastes like a box of mixed fruity “Nerds” finished with a Mentos and a bit of anise.
The high is very heady leading to long and slow thoughts. The brain is slowed down but remains in motion and productive with the body increasingly heavy and locked in place. Pleasantly stoned.
I highly recommend Radikal Mandarin to those consumers who value fruity and candy terps. I would even venture so far as to recommend Radikal Mandarin to consumers who are always searching for something new. This bud is really tasty and while it is reminiscent of the modern—it is still unlike any other candy bud I’ve tried before. I enjoyed its dessert like sweet nature—and appreciated the good stoned high. The bud is probably too strong for novice consumers—but one or two puffs should be ok.
