Grower: Fire Farms

Rating: 4.5

Rainbow Candy is through and through an excellent example of Fire Farm’s style of strength, aroma and flavor. The bud, in my case a mass large enough to have significant gravitational pull, is fragrant with an essence of dark sweet sour plums, spice a mild but evident gassiness and even some vanilla earthiness. The flavor matches aroma with fruit, spice and that same sweet earthiness which remains in a delicious cake like aftertaste. That aftertaste is so pronounced and enjoyable—that I actually erroneously first posted on IG that I had just sampled Rainbow “Cake” rather than “Candy”.

The high is strong—setting in quickly with immediate pain relief. I jotted my notes down quickly anticipating that I would be knocked out—but while my brain and body were significantly slowed down to a point of minimal use, I never passed out. Instead, I enjoyed my surroundings, chocolate and mint tea, a bit of Netflix but with little patience for social media or communication with the external world but complete satisfaction with being at home with my loved ones.

I highly recommend Rainbow Candy to experienced consumers. The bud is high quality in all aspects and has a deeper and more nuanced flavor than a normal “candy” cultivar. Fire Farms in general is not a grower I would recommend to novice consumers as they almost always deliver a strong high. This one is no different—the high is strong, though not fully incapacitating—with a slight cloudiness in the head the next morning. A bit too much for newbies to handle.
