A week ago, we published a meme expressing our dissatisfaction with orange terps. The same evening Green Space sent me a message that he was sending “only the best orange terps for [me]”. I thought he was joking. He was not. Subzero Cherry Bomb is a beautiful looking wispy long dusted purple bud that reeks of all the oranges this side of the Chao Praya. Opening a package of this bud is like pouring an orange Fanta all over your face (with some very secondary notes of berry fruit, herbs and earth). The flavor is like chewing 9 orange starbursts at once—with the mouth coated in a super sweet orange film which lasts forever—the bud does develop with a good herbal and mint finish. Now, while I can complain about orange terps, I have to admit that the quality of this bud is superb and I did smoke a fairly large gram plus joint from start to finish.
The high is excellent, starting with a good heady buzz, focus, alertness and engagement. The bud quickly gets pretty stoney—with the body relaxing and a strong wave of laziness, munchies and a belated euphoria and satisfaction coming on. The bud did not sedate me—but it did act to quicken my retreat to bed for the night.
I highly recommend Subzero Cherry Bomb to all fans of anything orange. For those of you, those of us, who disdain orange terps—I have to say this: it is super orangey which made me roll my eyes more than once. But it’s a hard bud to put down and its excellence cannot be denied. I am still not a fan of orange terps—but I concede that orange terps fans have legitimate feelings and preferences. They should not be grouped in with those criminals who put pineapple and/or ketchup on pizza or mix tobacco with cannabis. There is no hope for those souls.
