I really had no idea what to expect with this strain. I am not familiar with any “watermelons” or “ices” from my past. And it is still not clear to me what the name is supposed to convey. But I digress.
Watermelon Ice is a surprisingly menthol citrussy smelling bud with a fruity, piney and bubble gum taste. The effects are quick and deep: relaxing, happy and mind numbing. I found myself repeating the same tasks over and over again. Starting them, getting distracted, starting them again but never completing. I wrote in my notes that “it is a good happy balance of deep body relaxation, but that my mind was still alert and I can continue writing.” But my notes ended there because I passed out. Watermelon Ice is strong. Pleasantly strong, happy, relaxing and a good way to end your night.
I would recommend Watermelon Ice to anyone who wants to knock themselves out happily at the end of the day. You will enjoy that hour or so between smoking and the inevitable embrace of your bed—but make sure that bed is close by.
