A few benches, with educational cannabis material and cycling magazines, line the edges of the shop. This dispensary focuses on providing the customer high quality bud, not with loitering and hanging around. A constant stream of customers flows in and out of the shop: entering, receiving cannabis consultations, purchasing, and exiting the shop. The bud tenders, 5 owners and 4 staff, provide consultations which are carefully thought out, not hurried. This is the efficiency and simple beauty of Weed Express: Customers receive the full attention of their respective bud tender and quickly move to their next destination without delay.
Fourteen locally grown strains are available and presented on a bar in the center of the shop. The strains, all high quality, vary from the familiar and traditional old school ones to sexy new strains named after colors and candies (we will cover their Gruntz, Sour Diesel and Tropicana Banana strains in subsequent reviews). Pre-rolled joints, pipes, rolling paper and CBD oil are also available for purchase and can be found amongst the strains and on shelves behind the bar.

Between the owners, Weed Express has the expertise of an architect, designer, horticulturist, and social media and business manager. Expertise which was put to quick use when they opened the dispensary within one month of cannabis’s decriminalization.
For Song and Tung, the love and knowledge of cannabis was gained in the USA and Spain respectively, where both gents used bud to medicate their ailing muscles after ironman events and grueling cycling tours. Upon their return to Thailand they found the quality of cannabis low and focused on improving the cannabis available in the Kingdom. Tung gained hands on experience growing high quality flower while Song deepened his knowledge of the application of cannabis for sports related ailments.
Cannabis Culture
The owners are supporters of “Ethical Education” and see it as the best way to develop Thai cannabis culture. Weed Express practices Ethical Education by helping farmers develop and grow the best quality cannabis; while also providing customers access to and knowledge of cannabis to address individual needs and ailments. At least one owner is always in the shop to engage with customers and help with the “wise use of cannabis” for sports recovery, medicinal use, and mental health and passive use.
